We’re excited to share some big news — DJ Shivers and Line Dancing Lisa have both been named Platinum winners in the 2026 CommunityVotes San Mateo awards!

Growing Country Dancing in San Mateo and the Bay Area
What started as a love for country music and line dancing has grown into an amazing community of dancers throughout San Mateo County and the greater Bay Area.
Today, you can find DJ Shivers and Line Dancing Lisa hosting country dance nights, teaching beginner line dance lessons, DJing special events, and bringing country dancing to venues and community events throughout the Peninsula, San Francisco, San Jose, and beyond.
One of our favorite things has been watching people walk into their first line dance lesson not knowing a single step and then become regulars on the dance floor. Whether you’re brand new to line dancing or have been dancing for years, our goal has always been to create events that are welcoming, social, and fun.
Receiving these CommunityVotes San Mateo awards means even more because they come from the community that has supported us along the way.
